Terms and conditions 2026
1. Formation and Duration of the Agreement
This agreement is entered into between the service provider, singing teacher Leila Saari, and the customer, i.e. the student.
The agreement is formed when the customer books a lesson through the online booking system, by email, by telephone, via social media (Facebook or Instagram), or in person. By booking a singing lesson, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted these terms and conditions.
If the student is a minor, the agreement is entered into with the student’s legal guardian, who is responsible for compliance with these terms and conditions.
This agreement is effective as of 12 August 2026.
2. Service Description
Individual singing lessons are either 45 or 60 minutes long, depending on the student’s choice. In these terms and conditions, all individual singing lessons, regardless of their duration, are referred to as a “lesson”.
During individual singing lessons, the student receives personalised vocal instruction, and the content of the lessons is planned together with the student. The teacher shall take the student’s individual development needs and goals into consideration and use teaching methods appropriate to them.
All individual singing lessons can also be provided online via video connection. The primary platform used is Zoom, but other suitable applications and methods may also be used when necessary, such as recording exercises in video or audio format. The content and duration of online lessons are the same as those of regular individual singing lessons.
Paired singing lessons are 60-minute lessons in which two students receive instruction simultaneously. The content of the lessons is planned according to the students’ wishes, and the students sing both together and individually.
At the student’s request, the service may also include music theory instruction.
3. Lesson Packages and Validity Periods
Lesson packages can also be purchased in packages of three lessons. A three-lesson package is valid for eight weeks from the date of purchase. Lessons are either 45 or 60 minutes long.
Lessons can also be purchased individually. The cancellation terms described in Section 5 apply to all scheduled lessons.
The validity period of a lesson package begins on the date of purchase. All lessons must be used within the applicable validity period. The service provider does not remind the customer of unused lessons; the customer is responsible for booking and using the lessons within the validity period.
No refunds are provided for unused lessons. However, the validity period may be extended, for example, in cases of illness or force majeure.
4. Payment
The available payment methods are MobilePay, card payment, and invoicing.
If the customer chooses invoicing as the payment method, the invoice will be sent immediately after the booking has been made. The payment term is 14 days.
A payment reminder will be sent for overdue payments. The customer is responsible for checking the accuracy of the invoice. Any objections or claims concerning the invoice must be submitted within the objection period stated on the invoice.
5. Cancellation of a lesson
A scheduled lesson must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the lesson. In this case, the lesson may be rescheduled to another time.
In the event of sudden illness, the cancellation must be made by 10:00 a.m. on the same day by telephone; a text message is sufficient. If a lesson is not cancelled within the applicable time limits, it will be considered a completed lesson and the full price of the lesson will be charged.
No refunds are provided for cancelled or unused lessons. Purchased lessons must instead be used before the end of their validity period.
The validity period of purchased lessons may be extended in the event of a prolonged period of illness. In such cases, the student must provide the service provider with a medical certificate confirming the period of absence.
If they wish, the student may give or sell their unused lessons to another person.
6. Cancellations by the teacher
If the teacher cancels a lesson, the teacher is responsible for rescheduling the lesson to another mutually agreed time.
The teacher may suggest a new time or ask the student to book a new lesson through the online booking system.
In the event of a longer period of illness, the teacher may arrange for a suitably qualified substitute teacher to conduct the lessons.
7. Amendments to the Agreement
The service provider reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions.
The terms and conditions are reviewed regularly, and any new terms and conditions will replace this agreement in its entirety. Customers will be informed promptly of any changes to the terms and conditions.
8. Termination of the Agreement
The agreement is valid for the duration of the lesson package selected by the customer and ends when all purchased lessons have been used or when the validity period has expired.
For individual singing lessons, the agreement remains valid until the lesson has taken place.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be dealt with by the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) or by the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta).
